Philosophy Statement
The belief of Morrow Education Center is that “at-risk” students are entitled to an educational experience that addresses their specific needs and interests. Therefore, instruction is individualized allowing consideration for different learning styles. By providing students with applied learning experiences, students are better prepared to meet the new academic and career-related learning standards set forth by the District and State. Through our academic curriculum students are consistently exposed to life skill contextual learning opportunities. The intent of the alternative education program is to insure that students are not judged on past situations; every student who is referred to Morrow Education Center is given a new educational beginning. The ultimate goals of this school are to assist students with re-entering traditional public education, and/or to receive a high school diploma.
